Elsie, Part II
What Elsie says now
Read Part I here:

As Elsie comes kicking up her heels into my energetic space, she is shaking her head in excitement and gratitude. I feel her beautiful, wide open personality immediately. She swoons when I mention Jim. I feel the fullness of her heart in my own chest and immediately feel teary with love and gratitude (I feel it again as I write). She says “he saved my life,” (he did)-view story here: https://louises-newsletter-bc424d.beehiiv.com/p/who-trips-over-a-calf
When I ask her to tell me her experience of being found orphaned and nearly transitioned, she tells it like this:
“My face feels funny.” As the communicator, I feel a numb, tingling sensation on my face and particularly around my nose.
“I’m cold. The ground is cold. I don’t know what’s happened and am not very aware of anything until I am warmer. Even then, things are fuzzy and my face still feels weird. There is no feeling in my legs. I am only slightly aware of something touching my spine, only it doesn’t feel like it’s my own back or even part of my body. I just notice something. I couldn’t have described any of this when I was on Earth. I wouldn’t have remembered. “
Elsie is referring to the experience as she sees it now, in the afterlife.
“ I was in and out of awareness and then, I felt something wet at the side of my mouth. It was what woke me up on Earth. As I say, I couldn’t have remembered this during my lifetime, but this was the turning place for me. I lived to be 20 years and was ready to go back then. I had a life of fun. I loved children. I still do.”
After she described her experience with being offered a bottle, I next asked Elsie about her first year of life with the golden retrievers and feel my heart fill again.
“ …oh yes. So friendly and fun, like me. I’m with them now too. You know that they were with me from the very beginning.”
She is referring here to the fact that both dogs were present when Jim found her. Elsie shows herself tumbling and running with them and shows a time on Earth when she stumbles and nearly falls.

“I didn’t get hurt. People were worried about that. Those guys were just fun. They still are and they are here!”
The cow is excited to let me know that the dogs are with her now and adds that they greeted her when she transitioned. Next, I want to know how she felt about moving to the farm with other cows.
“I liked seeing others. I felt like an outsider at first, but not for long. The people were lovely and also the cows and other animals.”
I asked Elsie if she was ever bred, If she ever had a baby. She did not.
“My life as I recall began with the milk. That was when I woke up. Otherwise I’d have been here then. “
Elsie isn’t really talking to me at this point, and I see her face gazing into the distance as if she’s just tying up her story in her own mind. All animals I’ve talked to refer to there being no timeline in the afterlife. It’s an Earth tool for making sense of things. They refer to it only to help us understand and to answer our questions.
“I want everyone to know that my transition was peaceful. I just folded up my legs, lie down and it wasn’t long.”
I hear a “phlump” sound as she goes down in a soft, comfy spot.
“Now I’m here and I can be there but I’m mostly here. I have so many friends in both places.”
I feel Elsie give me a hug when I thank her for chatting. She has more things to say, though.
“My mother was happy to see me and she’s proud of my life and what I did to help people.”
The communication with Elsie was an emotional one for me for a couple of reasons. The first is that the experience of finding a newborn calf and setting her on her life’s path was pivotal in my husband’s life. I’ve learned so much about the afterlife from animals in spirit and though I did not get to meet Elsie on Earth, meeting her in the afterlife and hearing a familiar story from another perspective, has deepened my awareness and certainly will inform my conversations with other animals in the future.
